Karel Pauzer, Leg
The exhibition Seeing Life presents works by two distinctive Czech artists. In his drawings and sculptures, Karel Pauzer offers a unique look at the world of plants and animals. For Pauzer, the process of making art is no less important than the result, after which he abandons the final product. For this reason, most of his works are created without any specific vision as to the outcome. He mainly works with clay, which can be shaped and repeatedly reworked. Clay is also the main medium for Hana Purkrábková, whose work focuses on people in various life situations. She draws inspiration for her work from randomly watching people in everyday life. Her observations are then transformed into sculpture.
