Fifty years ago, on 19 July 1964, a new art gallery was ceremoniously opened near Klatovy at KlenováCastle and Chateau. Since then, the gallery has been putting together a collection of for the most part Czech modern art, and has organized numerous interesting exhibitions by leading artists from the Czech Republic and beyond.

For this important anniversary, Galerie Klatovy/Klenová is exhibiting selected works from its depositories at Klenová Chateau and at the White Unicorn Gallery in Klatovy.

The works were selected on the basis of an exhibition concept prepared by curator Ivan Neumann.
