Art residency program at Villa Paula, Klenová

In the year 2006 the Gallery Klatovy / Klenová started a residency program for visual artists and art critics in the restored Villa Paula, located nearby a medieval castle and chateau Klenová. There are three studios in the villa. Two of them are designed for painters and one for printers (there is a printing workshop in the building), for art historians (there is an art library at the castle) or for sculptors (there is a workshop on the ground floor or an old farm complex across the street). Each room has its own sanitary facility. There is also a common kitchen, where a TV set and a computer with a free internet access can be found.

The printing workshop is equiped with an etching press suitable mainly for lino printing (steal plate 16 x 800 x 1700 mm, colour roller 210 x 800 mm, driving mechanism - upper roller, roller lifting 45 mm). Offset inks and printing paper in several colours can be purchased at the workshop.

The Gallery Klatovy / Klenová rents an individual rooms for 400 Kč / 15 EUR per day. An artists participating on the bilateral project bettween our gallery and an Oberpfälzer Künstlerhaus in Schwandorf are part of a scholarship program.
