The artistic group Rafani presents its first hint at a retrospective in Klatovy. In view of the group's age (founded in 2000), it definitely will not be a typical retrospective. Rafani's older works will be placed within the new organic structure of an exhibition designed according to the principles of geometric garden architecture. The group's style has undergone major changes since its founding, making use of many different media, including painting, collage, object art, installations, video, and noise - allowing for a highly diverse approach to the use of these materials. The garden represents a certain ideal, which the group has always been interested in and which over time has shifted from specific activist-oriented art to more atmospheric and abstract metaphors. By focusing on geometry, symmetry, rhythmic repetition, and perspective, the exhibit declares its allegiance to the ideals of clarity and enlightenment, which will be either enhanced or disrupted by the new approach to the group's works, which are already a part of history.
